CO-FOUNDER AND LICENSED THERAPIST

Tiiu Lutter, LPC

Tiiu Lutter (she/her) specializes in intra-family relationships, couples and adolescent concerns. With a degree from Immaculata University, Tiiu has her degree in counseling and also school guidance. She has been an IEP consultant and educational advocate and is certified in secondary guidance. A former Employee of the Year at Child Guidance Resource Centers, she has experience working with trauma, loss, and multi-generational family issues. She believes that every child, regardless of age, seeks to connect to their parents (and vice versa), and that with support, couples can find their way through almost every challenge, and thrive as a result. Her orientation is systemic and existential; she has a strong background in behavioral modification and reinforcement.

CO-FOUNDER AND LICENSED THERAPIST

Clifford Richmond, LMFT, AAMFT

Clifford Richmond (he/him) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes in the power and strength of the family system.  With a background in Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy, Cliff works to assess and observe all aspects of the family system to ensure that the family home is place where children and parents can reach their full potential.  With a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from LaSalle University, he has worked in many different therapeutic settings, including Outpatient, Community-Based, and Inpatient Hospitals. He has is trained in the ESFT Family Based model, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. He believes that there is nothing a strong parental relationship can't handle.

LICENSED THERAPIST

Zoë A. Taddei, MSW, LCSW

Zoë (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who uses a family centered approach to identify the strengths of each individual and family to conquer any challenge presented. Zoë is certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based model for children ages 2-7, and uses positive play, effective communication, and clear boundary setting as some of tools to rejuvenate the caregiver/child bond. She has experience with children, adolescents, and adults, has worked in the public school setting, and is passionate about helping families thrive. She offers individual, family, and caregiver sessions as well as PCIT.

Danielle Young, LPC, NCC

Danielle Young (she/her), LPC, NCC, has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, of all ages and is passionate about building healthy, empowered individuals and families. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings and is certified in Trauma Focused CBT as well as Parent Child Interaction Therapy. She brings robust experience in the education system as well as with autism to Thriving Families.  Danielle uses a family systems framework with the focus on promoting healthy attachment. She uses a variety of clinical interventions including play therapy, effective boundary setting, parent education, trauma-focused CBT, and more, to help you whatever your need.

John Wehler, LSW

John Wehler (he/him), LSW, has a thriving interest in helping children and families reach their highest potential. John works to help children and families improve their relationship by utilizing a holistic approach. John centers his work around play therapy, behavior modification, Ecosystemic Structural Therapy, and strengths based therapeutic methods. Receiving his masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh, John has experience working with adults, adolescents, and kids in the community/school settings through family based therapy and school based therapy.

Elena Sciandra, LPC

Elena Sciandra (she/her) is a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, couples and families. Elena’s hope is that her clients feel completely heard and develop a sense of trust in the therapeutic process to instill hope for positive change. She is certified in Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy and has extensive experience working with this model as a community based family clinician and clinical supervisor. Elena also has training and experience with Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and working with individuals in Outpatient and group settings. Elena uses a strength based treatment approach focusing on promoting resilience and healthy relationships.

Sarah Messina (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes in the importance of a strong family system and the power of parent-child relationships.  Sarah has a background in family therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and individual therapy and has worked with individuals and families in a variety of settings.  Sarah also has extensive experience working with addiction, anxiety, and autism.  Sarah has a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from LaSalle University and a Certification in Addiction Treatment. She has trained in EcoSystemic Structural Family Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and many other Evidence Based Treatment Models.  Sarah’s goal as a therapist is to ensure that all clients feel empowered, heard, and supported, and that their therapeutic experience is adapted uniquely to meet their individual needs.

Jordyn Savage, LPC

Jordyn (she/her) is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) with experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and parents of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She graduated with my Masters in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University. Her therapeutic approach utilizes creative avenues and talk therapy interventions to help support, encourage, and motivate clients in their goals. She aims to create a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings openly and unapologetically. Her background is primarily treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Transitions/Adjustment, and trauma.

Mike Lee, LCSW

Mike Lee (he/him) is a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for working with children, adolescents, children, couples and families. He is certified in Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy, and has applied this model as both a clinician and a clinical supervisor. Mike’s desire is to help families and individuals unearth the strength within themselves to create lasting change. Receiving a Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Mike has experience utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, ESFT, ASD centered interventions, and strengths based treatment. Finally, coming from a mixed race background himself, Mike has a strong desire to help families and individuals navigate the difficulties that can come with diverse family systems.

Hildy Somerville, LCSW

Hildy Somerville (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has over 17 years of experience in the field working clinically with a variety of diverse populations. She is passionate about assisting individuals and families to heal from trauma, stress, and emotional discord, as well as helping children and families on their life-long journeys through adoption and/or foster care. Her approach is a combination of interpersonal/relational, humanistic, and client-centered. Hildy strives to empower her clients to access the strength they need to repair relationships, make positive and long-lasting connections, and overcome feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. She is of the mindset that every individual and family is unique, and there is not one modality or technique in particular that will apply to everyone. Together, she will help you choose the best way forward in how to achieve your goals, and gain the tools to help sustain lasting change. Hildy’s specialty areas include attachment, family therapy, foster care and adoption, relationships/couples, parenting, trauma, anxiety, depression, post-partum depression/anxiety.

Andrew Rice, M.Ed., NCC

Andrew Rice (he/him), M.Ed., NCC is thrilled to have joined the Thriving Families team. Serving as a middle and high school counselor over the past ten years, he has worked extensively with students and families from diverse backgrounds and challenges. Andrew is passionate about empowering meaningful changes in the lives of clients by actively utilizing goal setting as a framework to guide the counseling process. He draws upon the innate strengths individuals and families possess and uses them as a tool to navigate the specific difficulties they may be experiencing in their lives. Specific strategies and techniques are adapted to appropriately meet the developmental and contextual needs of the individual or family.
